The founder was made redundant in March 2025 at 43 due to a company restructure. He was left with some parting words: “This could be the best thing that ever happened to you.”

As one door shuts, another opened. He took the day to count his numbers:

• Over a decade in telecoms
• Over two decades in Sales and Retail
• A couple of years in distribution
• Zero money for a startup business

Through a few friends, favours and creativity, he got this site up — dirty and quickly.

He spent time dissecting sales processes to put the customer first, not shareholders and profits. Create a system you would be happy for your gran to use and not be ripped off.

The general consensus from corporate people was it would be “a race to the bottom” and “won’t work.”

And so…

Sim Only City was born to the words of “fuck ’em, let’s make it work.”
